Who he is: A native of Calgary, Alberta, Paul Brandt was a pediatric registered nurse at the time of his big break in 1995. Since then he’s maintained a steady country music career both in Canada and in the U.S. as a talented singer and songwriter.
A few of his hits: 1996’s “My Heart Has a History” was the first of five consecutive number ones in Brandt’s native Canada; his success soon turned stateside with the release of “I Do,” a track that cracked the top 10 on the U.S. charts.
What he’s been up to: touring in support of his latest release, The Journey BNA; Vol. 2, which features the track “Bittersweet,” and maintaining his title as the most played Canadian country music artist in country radio history
