The event now known as Roar of the Rings held its inaugural tournament in 1997, soon after curling became a full-medal sport in the Winter Olympics. This year, the event showcases 16 of Canada’s top-tier curling teams—eight men’s and eight women’s—squaring off head-to-head in eight days of competition from December 1 to December 8.
