An exhibiting fine-art photographer and longtime photography instructor, Elaine Halpert captures her subjects’ likenesses using the refined eye of an artist augmented by experience and precise technical skills. Adept at multiple styles of portraiture including individuals, couples, infants, and groups, Halpert can accommodate up to five people for a one-hour image-capturing session. Models can bulk up smile muscles within the controlled environment of an in-studio shoot; those eager to showcase a favorite locale can opt for an on-location shoot in a home, scenic park, or jumbo-size live-in terrarium. Halpert maintains a flexible approach, striving to customize each session so that subjects’ personalities shine through. Once freshly-baked 8″x10″ and 5″x7″ prints have sufficiently cooled off, portrait subjects can scoop up their frame-ready renderings along with a CD gallery packed with meticulously hung snapshots for internet sharing. Additional prints can be ordered from Halpert or online from a personal web gallery of edited and lightly enhanced colour, black-and-white, sepia, and barely visible white-on-white images.
