I took my skates to get sharpened at Hockey Experts yesterday. After they were sharpened, I took them to the cashier to pay. I had my wallet out and was ready to pay when the cashier told me that they have an in-store promo of Free Skate Sharpening for the month of August! I had no idea about the sale. It was a nice feeling walking out the store and unexpectedly saved $5.

I went home and checked Hockey Experts website to verify the sale and it was right there on their homepage. Get free skate sharpening from August 3rd to 29th, 2011. There’s a limit of three skate sharpening per customer per visit.

National Golf Course Owners Association Canada: Take A Kid To The Course Program. Kids Golf for FREE (July 4 -10)

Take a Kid to the Course Program was developed by the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada to promote the game of golf and to encourage family participation. From July 4 to July 10, 2011, children under 16 and who are accompanied by a paying adult , can golf for FREE.

Hundreds of courses will be participating in this program across Canada. Many courses will also offer other activities such as junior clinics, free range balls, free junior club rentals and parent/child tournaments. Organizers recommend that you call ahead for details and to book your tee time.
