An extension of Ye Olde Chip Truck, Mrs. D’s Fish Shack & Poutinerie dispenses a menu of gourmet street fare from its permanently affixed chip truck on the Kenora harbourfront. Fresh-cut fries and signature gravies fill seven kinds of poutine ($5.53/16 oz), such as the Hurry Curry, heaping chicken, cheese curds, and curry sauce, and The Bigfoot, layering steak, cheddar, peppercorn gravy, and freshly grilled myth. Fish-and-chip aficionados can opt for the Mrs. D’s version of tempura-battered walleye ($5.97+ for one piece), and other grub includes fish tacos ($6.50), cheese-and-bean burritos ($6.19), and the Crazy dog, a Nathan’s Famous all-beef jumbo hot dog blanketed by fries and cheddar ($4.87).
