Thunder Mountain’s 1,700 feet of waterslides amounts to an epicentre of high-speed, water-based diversions that are exhilarating for all ages. Fly faster than a speeding bull shark down The Bullet, one of the tallest and fastest waterslides in Manitoba, clocking speeds up to 75 kilometres per hour. Visitors can choose from a number of tamer slides or can take refuge on the river raft ride, which floats tubes that can accommodate up to three persons or one lounge chair on break. While Thunder Mountain does offer concessions on the premises, patrons are allowed to bring along small coolers of refreshments (but no alcohol). Drier memories can be found in the gift shop, which peddles all manner of waterslide swag, including The Bullet T-shirts and pinky rings engraved with the chemical symbol for chlorine.
